Calling all young Artists! Share your love for painting at the SYL ART Competition!
- Participants must be in 1st - 12th grades!
- Fee: $10
- Theme: Oregon Hobbies
- Medium to be used: PAINT (oil, watercolor & acrylic)
- Masterpieces will be judged in 4 age categories: 1st-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-9th, 10th-12th
- Photos of art creations will be posted on Social Media along with your first name and grade.
- Release of artwork and photos
- Top Winners will be announced on Social Media and via email.
- Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd Place. People's Choice award will be announced.
Step 1: To Register, please click HERE!
Step 2: Using paint, create an art piece (no larger than 16 X 20) that represent the Oregon's Hobbies.
Ideas: Think about all the different Hobbies of Oregon like in the mountains, sand dunes, beaches, lakes or even in your driveway.
Step 3: E-mail the title of your masterpiece no later than May 10, 2023.
Step 4: Bring completed masterpiece to the SYL Office (1016 NW Adams St. McMinnville, OR 97128) May 15 - 17, 2023.
Masterpieces will be judged on:
- Originality (5 points)
- Colors/Balance (5 points)
- Interpretation/Clarity of Theme (5 points)
- Overall Presentation (5 points)
1st & 2nd Place Prizes will be awarded in each age category!
Top Winners will have the opportunity to have their masterpiece displayed at the McMinnville First Federal branch, where the public will have a chance to vote for a "People's Choice" Award.
