Scholarship Application

The Scott Banke Memorial Scholarship is open now!

The Purpose of this Scholarship is to promote a positive impact in our Community and World … Making Impact-Makers.

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Academics — Performs well academically and has clear plans for continuing education
  • Character — Exemplify kindness and compassion for others
  • Leadership — Exhibits leadership skills
  • Service — Demonstrates commitment to community service

Scholarship Process:

Graduating Seniors must be complete our 3-Step Application Requirements by April 10, 2017.

  1. 1.  Students must submit an Online Application
  2.       We prefer Online, but a hard-copy/PDF application is HERE if needed
  3. 2. Students must submit/email only one Letter of Recommendation
  4.        Please ensure that the Letter of Recommendation includes:
    1. -Date
    2. -Student’s Full Name and Name of School
    3. -Name/Title and relationship to the Student
  1. 3. Students must submit/email a Community Service Timeline
  2.        You are welcome to send your own Timeline, but it must include:
    1. -Student’s full name and name of school
    2. -Grade during Community Service
    3. -Organization/Class
    4. -Position/Role
    5. -Specifics Task/s
    6. -Time Involved

After Application is Completed:

The “See Ya Later” Scholarship Committee will review applications and finalists will be interviewed. The finalists will be notified and an interview will be arranged. All awards are one-time only and will be sent directly to the educational institution once the student has been accepted and enrolled.

For Oregon’s Students:

Seven $1,500 Scholarships will be awarded in Yamhill County, Oregon from:

  • Two McMinnville High School
  • One Amity High School
  • One Dayton High School
  • One Yamhill-Carlton High School
  • One Newberg High School
  • One At-Large Award may be presented to any graduating senior residing in Yamhill County and/or attending other public or private accredited high school (includes homeschool).

For Washington’s Students:

Four $1,500 Scholarships will be awarded in Auburn, Washington from:

  • Auburn High School
  • Auburn Riverside High School
  • Auburn Mountainview High School
  • West Auburn High School
  • OR an At-Large Award may be presented to ANY graduating senior residing in Auburn and/or attending other public or private accredited high school in Auburn (includes homeschool).

Applications will be accepted by the student online only. The “See Ya Later” Scholarship Committee will review all applications and will narrow down the candidates to the top 12 candidates.
