See Ya Later

Brian Williams

Name & Foundation Position:

“Brian Williams and I am a Foundation Board Member.”

Contribution to the Foundation:

“I am excited to be expanding the reach of the “See Ya Later” Foundation to Washington State. I have been assisting the Oregon staff for the last several years to see the great services SYL was providing and was asked to join the team in an effort to provide these same opportunities to youth and families in the Auburn area.”

Strengths You Add To The Board:

“I have been involved in fundraising and event planning since 1999. I am organized, progressive, and always thinking about ways that we can raise funds to help families, or to support youth activities. This Foundation has unlimited potential as long as we have the faith to believe and allow great things to happen.”

Most Important Aspect of The ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:

“This is perhaps the easiest question of all. It is “HOPE”.  The Foundation strives to provide hope. Whether it be to a family in medical crisis, or a young adult receiving a scholarship, or a child enjoying the experience at a sports camp, our staff strives to provide hope to each and every person we come across. There is no better reward than to see all of these people smile and recognize that there are people willing to support them and give them hope, no matter what!”

Why Did You Get Involved with The ‘See Ya Later’ Foundation:

“Scott was a difference maker in the lives of thousands of people, young and old. While he left this world way too soon, his legacy continues to make a difference to thousands of people each year and it is still growing! The life of Scotty is an inspiration to me and it was a “no brainer” for me to want to be involved and do my best to make an impact in the community.”

Most Memorable ‘See Ya Later’ Moment:

“There are just too many to list. However, I am constantly blown away at the support we receive during the “fund-a-need” at our auction events.  It is humbling to have friends, family and guests reach into their pockets and support the mission of See Ya Later year after year.”

Where Do You See Foundation In 5 Years:

“In Oregon I can clearly see a beautiful community center as our new home for sports camps, youth mentoring and family related events.  In Washington, I hope to be working on a state of the art little league baseball complex for the youth in our community.”
